Pope Francis

In his first Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel), Pope Francis spoke of how an encounter with Jesus Christ changes our lives. Coming into a personal relationship with Jesus fills us with joy.

“The joy of the gospel fills the heart and lives of all who encounter Jesus.” (Evangelii Gaudium, 1)

Pope Francis invites us to discover this joy once more.

“I invite all Christians, everywhere at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them; I ask all of you to do this unfailingly each day.” (Evangelii Gaudium, 3)

Pope Francis wants us to see ourselves as Missionary Disciples. The Evangelium Project is a way of fulfilling this hope of Pope Francis for each of us. Now is the time for each of us to embrace our deepest identity as Catholics and become Missionary Disciples.

How does the Evangelium Project work?
